How do you make hunting blow darts?

I have a .50 caliber blow gun and use it mainly for hunting, sadly there are few darts that really enable me to make efficient kills. Any ideas?How do you make hunting blow darts?
A 50cal is a really large bore but here is what you can do and its really cheap. Go to the local grociery store and buy some bamboo shish ka bob sticks they are about 12 inches long and sharp on both ends and look like a long toothpick. they come in pack of about a hundred, so there is plenty to cut untill you get your size right. I would say to cut about 6 to 8 inches long then get some elmers white glue because its heavier and you need the weight on the end, then get a large bag of just plain cotton balls. Dip the cut off end of the bamboo stick in the glue and insert it into the middle of the cotton ball. Let it dry and youll have plenty of new homeade darts
