When is it important to wear blaze orange when hunting?

I am only hunting small game, mainly dove and some rabbit, and I am doing it on public WMA land. Is it important for me to wear blaze orange? I'm not sure how important it is to be ';hidden'; from the birds. When is it important to wear blaze orange when hunting?
For hunting small animals like rabbits, or most upland game (dove, quail, pheasant etc,) with the exception of the wild turkey, camouflage is not needed. When cammo is not needed it is always a good idea to wear blaze orange to help avoid accidents. When is it important to wear blaze orange when hunting?
some states require you to wear orange. mine does not. I always do when hunting with other people just to avoid any accidents. If your hunting small game it should not be too much of a problem if you dont but be sure you trust the guys your with, they know where you are at all times, and stay where they can see you. so on that note...much easier to just throw on an orange vest or hat or both.
you should wear blaze orange ANYTIME you're hunting. Every year it seems there are more and more 'nut jobs' out there shooting at anything that moves!..Plus what you're hunting dosent require a dress code anyway! Most state laws tell you how much blaze orange(per square inch) you need to wear.
To make you visible to other hunters to help prevent you from being shot accidentally by other hunters.*
Being visible to other hunters is far more important that being hidden from the birds.
check your state laws on the game you are hunting
