What type of bait food is good for hunting deer?

By baiting I mean to lure into an area for feeding, in case someone does not understand the meaning. What type of bait food is good for hunting deer?
Take a rake and rake the leafs off of a area that gets good sunlight thru the canopy. Once it rains there will be tons of green shoots and deer will come running.

This is legal in many areas were baiting is not. I do it sometimes and I view it as more ethical than actually setting out bait. What type of bait food is good for hunting deer?
Corn
depending on what state you live in it can be illegal to bait and shoot. I know that is the case in New York
Corn, apples pears sugar beets
if it were me i would use beef
I was watching Hank Parker the other night and he and his son were using something called ';C'mere Deer.'; It was this yellow liquid that they poured over some corn and boy did the deer come! They shot some beautiful bucks with bow and arrow and other people testified to its effectiveness. Of course, their location probably helped alot and all the bait in the world won't help if you're not in the right spot.
Ok first of all you need to acess what is in the natural enviroment of the deer in qyuestion... as this will be the most effective since the deer ect it to be there right? White acorns are a good place to start...red acorns are bitter and are a deers distant second food choice when they get to choose their food stuffs. Apples are also a good bet.and they will not escape a deers nose when crushed ubder foot .(stomp your apples) A real good bet if there are any orchards,or wild crab apple trees around..wild.parsimmons and plums can also be found in parts of the U.S....take a look around though...what is available to them?

NOTE: it may be illegal for you to hunt a baited deer.Check your hunting regulations. Salt licks do work aswell but many deer prefer to take in minerals(salt) from the substrate(dirt)as oposed to licking it off a block....the salt lic site is something that needs a good amount of time to develope as a proven site for deer. If you choose to use applles or acorns bring a few up into the tree stand to toss Deer know the sound of falling fruit and or nuts oddlly enough.
plus acorns, a salt lick...........
None! if you bait your not really hunting its more like shooting...go out and put in the hard work and miles and the animal will be alot more rewarding if you get one
Persimmons for sure. Apples too and of course corn.
use cob, whole weat, or hay...go hunting every year...it draws them in
