What us a state in America that has good hunting, and relatively lax firearm laws.?

Also, maybe one that has a fairly large population. What us a state in America that has good hunting, and relatively lax firearm laws.?
Wyoming plain and simple. Not so much population wise however. What us a state in America that has good hunting, and relatively lax firearm laws.?
Michigan, hands down.... No waiting period for any weapon, but you do need to have a permit to purchase for a handgun, through the local law enforcement. Then registered, and it doesn't cost anything, just time.

Now there are some restrictions in hunting only because of population. Michigan is broken up into 3 zones where zone 1is the upper peninsula, zone 2 is the northern lower these two basically you can use rifle, handgun, shotgun... zone 3 you cannot use a high powered rifle. IF that is too restrictive sorry
Well none of them are anything close to ';lax';, since we've got federal restrictions on everything and something like 25,000 firearms laws on the books.

However, Alaska and Vermont come the closest to respecting the 2nd Amendment: in both states, any law abiding adult may keep and bear arms without infringements like having to pay a poll tax, get permission from some bureaucrat, etc.

Texas is often held up as the ideal, and while it and Florida seem to have the highest rates of CCW, Texas is one of the states that still bans open carry.
In the states the larger the population generally the more restrictive the gun laws are. While Florida and Texas get the attention for canceled carry they don鈥檛 have the least restrictive gun laws. As pointed out Vermont and Alaska do. I have lived in almost every state in the USA. Of them all I found Alaska to be the best but do visit Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho for hunting. The reason I prefer Alaska is there are places here you can glean the bounty of the Ocean for food and have abundant game on land. If you鈥檙e a non-felon you can carry a concealed handgun or carry it open display with out any permits. You also receive many perks for living here; about $1200 a year per person free from the PFD by the state, 10,000 board feet of free timber from the state, no state tax, no gun registration, discounts for senior citizens such as free hunting and fishing licenses and substance hunting and fishing in rural areas.

Basically if you own a skiff a rifle and a truck or ATV here you can get more meat and fish than you could ever need. I have two freezers right now full of game meat, fish, shell fish etc and have about 100 lbs of dried smoked salmon. We eat a few hundred pounds of king crab and shrimp a year for penny鈥檚 on the pound; just the gas cost to get it and a license.

Nowhere in the USA can you find so many natural resources in one place. You would have to be a lazy idiot to starve here.

So you add that all up and you can see why I live here. If you get pulled over driving by a state trooper here and tell him you have a loaded handgun in the car, he says thanks for telling him, you do that in many other US states and you go straight to jail and may well go to prison.
When I think of free states with good hunting, I generally think of Texas, Alaska, Wyoming, and Montana.
Let me just say that Alabama is one of the best states as far as generous hunting limits. If your looking for a great place to go after most states rut has expired you should consider hunting here. I see deer almost every day.
Gotta say my birth state, Florida and my home state, Georgia.
Arizona, Texas, Alaska.
Idaho and Alaska
Texas.
Not New Jersey. Hope that helps you decide where not to go.
