Is it possible to get better results ghost hunting when using clothing and objects relating to time period?

I would like to pose the following theory: If you were to do a ghost investigation of a haunted building, such as a victorian era home, do you think that you would get better results if the investigators were to dress in clothing from that time period? No, not really. Ghosts do not care what you wear. They're more interested in the energy you put out. As asthetically apealing as it may be to wander around an old house or grave yard in your favorite victorian getup, it simply will not attract the spirits any more than wearing jeans and a Tshirt, or Rave-wear. There are more effective ways to attract spirits, such as bringing along people who have a strong gift with spirits, or who tend to attract such beings.Is it possible to get better results ghost hunting when using clothing and objects relating to time period?
When dealing with hauntings in older locations, such as a Victorian era home where there has been a reporting of one or many full body apportions, these tend to fall into the class of a residual haunting.





A Residual Haunting is kind of like an event in time where the energy has somehow become trapped, and is replaying itself. An example of this would be the common phenomena of spirits walking through a room unaware and disappearing through a wall. Often time when research is done on the property it is often found a door once existed, or the wall was added at a later date.





Now if this was a intelligent haunting it would pose an interesting question as to whether the spirit is aware of the date. You may even risk angering the ghost if it thinks you are mocking it :)





Besides how hilarious would it be for a whole team of ghost hunters to pull up in full Victorian dress?
possibly but remember........, spirits come forth and stay around or go away based on their own life /death experiences............u would have to know specifically about the one you are dealing with............for instance a mother spirit who lost a child or died during child birth may be amongst a young mother and child when at play but not around the dad when he cooks in the kitchen.........or the spirit of woman may come around you when perfume is in the air.........every spirit has a different memory and trigger.........some just stalk in pain and need no trigger
Adreyo is right. It would only work if you recreate the scene, as such, or you are just going to be people wearing stupid costumes. I mean, they aren't stupid.


As for websites, I have never heard of anyone actually doing this.
